Meghan Markle criticised for leaving one VERY important detail out of her Instagram anniversary post

Meghan Markle marked her seven-year wedding anniversary with Prince Harry yesterday with a sweet post showing a cork board covered in photographs of her, Prince Harry and their children.

However, Meghan, 43, royal fans have noticed that Meghan left out a crucial detail about the milestone in her caption for the post.

The Duchess wrote: ‘Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories.

‘Thanks to all of you (whether by our side or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you.

‘Happy anniversary!’

Fans have noticed the former Suits star have said she failed to name Harry in the post.

Despite the post containing numerous photos of Meghan and Harry together, critics took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss Meghan’s caption.

Some accused her of making the celebratory day about ‘herself’ because she did not directly mention Harry.

‘Happy Anniversary to me! No mention of my husband. He can be in the photos with ME!’ one user wrote.

‘Meghan Markle just wished herself a Happy Anniversary! Who does that?’

‘Is she wishing happy anniversary to herself?’ a second person asked.

Another wrote: ‘The most epic love story, Meghan Markle’s love of… Meghan Markle.

‘Never seen a woman so obsessed with herself, and there’s zero mention of Harry in her post. Things are spiraling downwards, it seems.’

A third questioned why the post mentioned those who have supported Meghan and Harry’s marriage over the years.

‘Wait, shouldn’t it be addressed to HARRY and not to ‘all of you… who have supported us’? Whose anniversary is it?’ they asked.

Meghan, 43, was slammed for not making any mention of Harry in the caption of her Instagram post celebrating her anniversary

Also posting on X, another person wrote: ‘I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anniversary message made out to other people and not to your spouse.’

Another added: ‘It’s such a strange post, as though she is wishing everyone happy anniversary because she doesn’t want to say Harry’s name, just bizarre.’

Meghan’s board included previously unseen photographs of her and Harry at various stages of their ‘love story’ and of their family.

One image on the pinboard features her pregnancy bump, while another shows the couple’s son, Prince Archie, kissing his sister, Princess Lilibet.

Other scenes show the family on various holidays, painting in the garden of their Montecito mansion – and even Archie in the womb.

One of the earliest photos featured on the board showed the Duke and Duchess pose for a selfie taken in London in 2016, when they first started dating.

In the photograph, which is tabbed up as ‘2016’ in ‘London’, Meghan posed in a flannel shirt while Harry stood behind smiling.

There was also a sweet photograph of the couple on their wedding day in 2018, which took place at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

The then-newly minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex were joined by all the leading members of the Royal Family who gathered to celebrate their marriage.

Prince William was best man and the then- Prince Charles walked Meghan down the aisle.

Controversially, Meghan also displayed what appears to be a photo of her coat of arms approved by the late Queen Elizabeth II when she became Duchess upon her wedding in May 2018.

Meghan worked with the College of Arms to design the coat of arms with the aim of representing her and her American roots.

The late Queen signed off on Meghan’s design, which features more detail than the one given to the then-Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.

The blue background of the shield represents the Pacific Ocean off the California coast, while the two golden rays across the shield are symbolic of the sunshine of the Duchess’s home state. The three quills represent communication and the power of words.

The coat of arms also included what is understood to be Meghan’s cypher, or letterhead, featuring the letter ‘M’ with a crown on top.

Beneath the shield on the grass sits a collection of golden poppies, California’s state flower, and wintersweet, which grows at Kensington Palace.
